General meeting of the Arts and Humanities Alliance of Kenosha was rescheduled for Monday January 23rd, 2007 at the Kenosha Public Museum at 5:30p.m.

The January 13th meeting that was scheduled with Eric Olson to discuss the budget was brought up.  Dr. Yontz wanted to know if Fay Lang had emailed all of the teachers to let them know about it.  The only teachers that had been emailed were the ones on the O.B. list that she had.

Dr. Yontz was sorry that he wouldn’t be able to make it as he already had a commitment to judge the Youth Symphony auditions on the day Eric Olson had arranged for our meeting at the ESC.

It was decided that a new protocol for selling t-shirts at concerts should be started.

From now on the t-shirts will be checked out from Sue Jensen president of O.B. and will be returned to her.  T-shirts will not be passed between teachers as this had led to some confusion.

A new t-shirt design was discussed and tabled for the time being.

Progress on web-site has been delayed until a new person is hired by the district.

It was brought up that we would like to do more for the high school students.  Beginners and Middle School students already do get support from the O.B.

The idea of asking students to come to the meetings to give us some input as to what they would like Orchestra Boosters to do for them was brought up.  Also, would it be a good idea to send out a survey.  This idea will be discussed further.

Mr. Robinson brought up the idea of O.B. supplementing tickets to plays or concerts.

We would also like to be able to give out more scholarships.

Janice Mowry asked what the deadline for tapes made by students to receive summer camp string scholarship was. Sue Jensen checked on this and was going to send out a notice to the directors to let the students know about this opportunity.

Discussion about changing company for fruit sale was also discussed and will be checked into.

Meeting adjourned at 8:15

Next meeting will be on February 12th in room 125.
